Nowadays, technology has made it pretty easy for someone to cover a song that’s currently topping the charts, and put it on display for the world to see. But just because you CAN do it, doesn’t always mean you should.
I’ve definitely stumbled on more bad YouTube covers than good, but every now and then you’re surprised and maybe even blown away! Recently I came across the cover below. Alex Aiono and Meg DeAngelis covering Ariana Grande and The Weeknd.

The video has over half a million views, but honestly, I don’t think either singer has better pipes than the original “Love Me Harder” crooners.
However they do give their own touch to it and that’s what makes it a great cover! Having the guitar as their only source of instrument with harmonizing and a little bit of ad-libs, this cover couldn’t get any better!
So what’s the draw then? Maybe you can tell me. Do you love it ‘harder’ or ‘softer’ (not sure if that joke worked as well as it did in my head) than Ariana’s version?
